I work with adults navigating treatment-resistant depression, bipolar disorder, complex or diagnostically uncertain ADHD, and anxiety and OCD spectrum conditions. I also see patients who are not sure their current diagnosis is correct, or who have been in treatment for years without satisfactory results and are looking for a fresh clinical perspective. If your situation feels more complicated than prior care has been able to address, this practice may be the right fit.

Use the contact form to tell me a little about your situation. If it seems like a good fit, I will follow up to schedule an appointment. Once your appointment is confirmed, I will send you a brief set of standardized screening questionnaires to complete beforehand — these help me arrive at our first meeting with a clearer picture of your presentation.

The Initial Consultation is the starting point for patients entering ongoing care. The Comprehensive Medication Consultation is a distinct, often one-time service for patients who want an expert second opinion on their psychiatric history and current medication regimen — without necessarily committing to ongoing treatment. If you are coming with prior records and a complex history you want carefully reviewed, the Comprehensive Medication Consultation is likely the right starting point.

Belcadi Psychiatry is a cash-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, I provide a superbill — an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Whether and how much your plan reimburses is determined by your individual coverage.

Yes. I see patients in person in La Jolla and via telehealth throughout California. Both formats are available across all services.

Belcadi Psychiatry is a small, deliberately limited practice. I keep a modest panel so that I can know each patient's history well, follow them closely over time, and bring genuine attention to each visit. Initial appointments run up to 90 minutes — long enough to take a history that actually reflects the complexity of your situation. If you have seen multiple providers without lasting results, or feel your care has been fragmented or rushed, this practice is designed around the opposite approach.
